Wifi

  • The wifi password is: wharekapuabeachhouse

  • While we use Starlink, speeds and availability can be subject to weather, so please be patient!

Beach Access

  • See map here of how to access the beach. Please note that this track is a little rough, and the walk back is steep.

Amenities

  • There is a hairdryer in the guest bathroom next to the front door (in drawer).

  • There are fan heaters in the laundry (top-left cupboard)

Tips and Tricks

  • The kitchen drawers are soft-close and just need to be pushed firmly from about 4 inches. They’ll close themselves!

Food and Drink

The nearest food and drink can be found in the quiet hamlet of Pukenui, about 20 mins south of Wharekapua.

Here’s a list of our picks:

  • Foursquare Houhora - all you need for groceries, beer and wine, and great fried chicken.

  • Pukenui Pacific - bar and takeaways in the same complex.

  • Sand Bar - Located in the Houhora Fish and Game Club, just south of the village.

  • Houhora Honey Bees - Coffee, pies, and real fruit icecream just north of the village.
